A place for pictures of my woodworking projects for my other favorite hobbies: music and audio. I make these one piece at a time. Nothing here is for sale; just want to share some of my ideas.
About a year ago, John Darko created a Youtube video noting the cheap plastic remotes that are typically packaged with expensive audio gear.
Mr. Darko inspired me and, in response, I thought I would try to do better. These are custom learning remotes made of real wood with brass buttons and magnetic closures.
Only 4 buttons, but 90% of the time, that's all I need. I use them for my amp, CD player, BlueRay player (music discs), and a special iPhone holder to class-up streaming.
White Barn Audio started as a way to build things by hand to add enjoyment to my other favorite hobbies: music and audio. I thought I would share some of my ideas. - Mike
Music has been a part of my life from early childhood listening to my transistor radio. As I got older, I discovered stereo equipment and Stereo Review magazine and, many years later, I continue to enjoy the hobby. Woodworking came later and I'm slowly easing my way into it. Combining all three hobbies has been a lot of fun.
